In the meantime I've had the chance to do some
scientific-style
.NET Remoting vs. ASP.NET performance tests. I'll upload the results (and the complete test scenario so that you can reproduce them) later today or tomorrow. The short story: I'm still proud of having written the book about .NET Remoting.
